Those with long memories or incurable anoraksia will remember Chris Rolinson, who made the 'Electric Praise' albums in the '80s, was an early member of Heartbeat and worked for a while with Graham Kendrick. Now with that fine and underrated acoustic singer/songwriter Mike Stanley and West Indian origin Joy Boyce, Chris is part of a much used grassroots ministry doing tremendous work in schools and missions across Britain. Their musical influences are diverse pop, praise choruses, folk, even Caribbean tinges are all evident. Another influence on the music they make is their membership of the Roman Catholic Church, and 'Born For This' combines music, meditation and the ancient tradition of the Stations Of The Cross to produce a memorable Passiontide experience. The songbook has guitar chords and piano parts, along with the meditations on each station written by Jude Martin, and contains everything needed for a D-I-Y production.
