A crisp pop rock arrangement and a voice not dissimilar in the breathy vulnerability of its lower register to Matt Redman created a favourable impression on “I Desire You” and the effect is sustained on the mid tempo “Into You” and several of the other self-written songs. Recorded at Earful Studios, Brentwood, TN, this is sonically top notch and Phil’s Christ-centred worship songs deserve to be heard. Hope they are.
