Stoke-on-Trent's Paul Critchley is an experienced worship leader who, like many of his UK contemporaries faithfully serving in the music ministry field, may well have flown under your radar. However, sources on the ground advise that his times of worship are anointed and this five-track studio release quietly affirms that claim. Whilst Critchley's output doesn't break any new musical ground, there is a sincerity about proceedings with song titles like "We Invite You", "Who Is Like You God" and the title track indicating a vertical style of praise that refreshingly concentrates on God's glory as opposed to honing in on the believer's feelings. Each track takes its time to explore the wonder and majesty of God in mid-tempo fashion - a method that, aided by Paul's seasoned vocals and an assured but unassuming instrumental backing from Critchley's keys, works particularly well.
