My first impression on receiving this cassette to review was bewilderment at a white! Norwegian! Gospel Choir! The combination seemed so contradictory. My attitude soon changed and after two or three playings I am now thrilled by the freshness, clarity, power, and professionalism of the music and message of this young choir. The collection of songs is varied and thoughtfully put together and the live aspect makes the quality of performance even more amazing. The songs (all in English, with no accent) include old gospel favourites such as 'Amazing Grace', some new material written by the choir and interestingly some old classics - "Bridge Over Troubled Water" and "Shower The People" which redirect their original secular devotion implicitly toward Jesus. It would be nice to think that Paul Simon and James Taylor could listen and be moved to reconsider their stance.
