A posthumous retrospective of work of an artist who, good though he was, never quite reached the heights of others who followed him, at least not in the UK. O'Landa Draper, with his choir The Associates, was one of the first of the young African-American choir conductors to see the potential in making choirs sound more funky, and for his efforts he received multiple Stellar and Grammy nominations. He never really captured as large a British following as Fred Hammond or Kirk Franklin, nut that's not to say he didn't have any British fans at all and this collection might help make some belated new ones (although they'd be better advised to seek out his last album, released a few months before his untimely death last year).
