The moment Norman steps into the black gospel balĀlad arena is the moment this album really takes off. The up-beat groove of the first three tracks left me thinking that here was just another in a long line of average black gospel albums. Norman's strength is a marvellous, resilient soul-sweet voice which wraps its way around his compositions. Without a doubt the best is saved until near the end with "We Shall See Him As He Is" . Of the more upbeat numbers, "Keep Your Eyes On The Prize" nearly does it but just doesn't have that little extra sparkle to make it really memorable, while "Through The Years" and the softly sung "Most Holy Is The Lord" show the man in his real habitat. Worth a listen
