Now country music is one of those areas where people start getting off their fences and choose which horse they're going to ride. Either you like it or you don't. I like it. This one starts with a typical driving rhythm in "Hand To The Plow". This album has a fresh, new country sound - more akin to U2 go country at times than Hank Williams. Third track in is the album's finest, "Slow Down" - a heartfelt song from a son to his father, telling of his family's love for him and that work isn't the be-all and end-all of life. There are many more well-penned lyrics on this friendly, easy listening album, each telling, in true country style, their own stories. Congratulations Michael on an album which contains more lyrical content than a good number of the more well-known faces on the Christian scene

I have this cd, nice one to have in my ccm library. I had heard the duet with Gary Chapman, "That's What a Brother is For" play on ccm radio; luved it!! I also like "Slow Down", countrified tunes besides this one are heard on the cd. "Throne of Grace" was also a favorite radio song heard; "If I Fall" and "Deep is our Hunger" are also cd favorites. GOD Bless! -Don
