Living Sacrifice's sixth studio album sees them once again ploughing old ground. Whilst the rest of the rock world is starting to think that nu-metal is "old" these boys are still turning out good old-fashioned, no-nonsense, shred-saturated death metal. Our heroes have been through more lineup changes than Spinal Tap and yet their formula remains the same. In some ways that is no bad thing. LS know how to turn out serious death material. Doom-laden lyrics heavy with imagery. Machine gun paced double bass drum patterns intertwined with those wonderfully choppy riffs. A vocalist who sounds as though he has mistaken creosote for mouthwash. It does all come across as a bit tired though, mainstream thrasher bands have moved on, maybe you should too guys?
