Jon deserves the accolades he's been receiving and although classical purists might find some of the material here a tad too "popular", there is no doubting the rich quality of Jon's voice, a velvet-smooth tenor served by years of world class training and possessing a staggering two and a half octave range. A real standout on this set is Jon's version of Mario Lanza's "I'll Walk With God". Apparently Jon recorded it in one take and it's a deeply emotional and soul lifting performance. Other standouts here are the evergreens "O Holy Night", "Nessun Dorma" and "Jubilate Domum". As well as performing on the piano on 'Northern Light', Jon also conducts the City Of Manchester Symphonia - an orchestra he created and one largely staffed by his college contemporaries - on some of the tracks. It's too early to say, as suggested by his publicist, whether Christos really does compare with Enrico Caruso. But he is certainly a spectacular new classical talent.

To say that Christos compares to Caruso is a very common hype among novices. This bloke is not talented and therefore lies about being an "international opera star" and leaving the opera because he was singing to an elitist minority. He never performed in anything more than school productions as a student, here and there. Never professionally. Obviously, he did not have an operatic quality voice, as judged by professionals. Don't think he'll earn many fans lying like that, especially when the truth comes out eventually!

I think Jon is a very talented man and his album is amazing. He is also one of the nicest, unaffected people I have ever had the pleasure to meet. I am sure his career is going to go from strength to strength. He is a true superstar.
