Fast becoming one of Cross Rhythms' most playlisted rappers, James Gardin from Michigan has an unnerving way of creating skilfully crafted pictures of life. Here singer Soulseize rasps a soulful hook before, with his sad, laconic delivery, James confesses "too many times, too many times, I apologised for last night" followed later by "I'm drinkin', I'm drinkin' 'cause no one hears my cry" and in the process creates a dark and insightful look into the human wreckage to be found in every bar in America. Powerful stuff.
