Reviewed by Kwaku lyanla is a God-centred American inspirational and self-empowering writer and speaker. This excellent album is a musical companion to her book In The Meantime. Al the time of writing, this is the album that's been receiving the heavy rotation, along with 'God Will Find A Way' (Integrity Music), on my CD player. A mixture of well-known and not so well-known talent, secular and gospel artists cover both uplifting and upfront gospel songs in either a soulful or R&B vein, which mixes lyanla's uplifting and solution-centred 'rap' on love themes from her book. Since there are no fillers here, it's a bit unfair highlightÂing any tracks. However, you'll probably need to know that Faith Evans, Kelly Price, Montell Jordan, Howard Hewitt, Maxi Priest, Tulani Kinard, Yolanda Adams, plus duetting Montell Jordan, Monifah, Donnie McClurkin and Angelo & Veronica. However, if within this top-notch talented list I highlight the less-known Terry Bradford and her offering, "As Long As I Know", as being the most soulful cut that grabs us most, then you can well imagine how superb it has to be, and it is! A wonderful album that should find many a happy owner, be he/she a secular or gospel music fan.
