There are a number of common threads throughout this disc. Firstly every one of the songs on the album is performed as a duet. Those who sing with Scotland's Isla include Foster & Allen twice (surely that must make it a trio!), George Hamilton IV and Daniel O'Donnell, who also makes two appearances. From the opening lyrics (sung by O'Donnell) of the title track, the country-cum-MOR tone is set. Another of the threads, as suggested by the album title, is that of nostalgia - remembering the good old days. Songs about relationships are to the fore. The last two threads combine on "An Old Friend Like You". "Jackson" is a cover of the Johnny Cash classic. It's easy listening and unashamedly sentimental.
