A band from South Wales, this is the debut recording for Dayinahole who have expanded from the trio who recorded this four-track EP and who are now operating as a quartet. Moody rock is probably one way of describing this though the vibe is accompanied by some memorable female vocals, some catchy melodies and a few interesting production ideas to keep it fresher than some. It still sounds dated in places and the low budget production doesn't do the band any favours at all. However for a debut, this a good way to benchmark the band's beginnings and there is enough here to make me hope that with a little care and a bit more time in the studio on their next outing they'll capture something that fulfils the band's potential.
