Following the success of "Shout To The Lord" across the world, it's no surprise to find the Hillsongs' band fronted by Darlene Zschech (how do you pronounce that?) recording a new live praise 'n' worship album here in Britain. The result is an exuberant affair with the two thousand strong audience joining in like good 'uns for an atmospheric anointed time of rip roaring praise. When she breaks out into "People Just Like Us" with its dancy groove and sax solo, I wish I had been there in the crowd. Far better than some of the identikit praise routinely churned out, this album contains something a bit special. Zschech's heart to worship God communicates powerfully and the mixture of songs from the faith building "All Things Are Possible" and "I Know" through to the stirring "Shout To The Lord", "Glory To The King" and "Jesus, What A Beautiful Name" are superbly presented. However, the moment that arrested me when I first listened to this fine album was the spontaneous worship at the end of "Shadow Of Your Wings" - a spine tingling uplifting moment. An example of how it is possible to capture those moments of great anointing on tape and how when listening to worship albums, my study can suddenly be transformed into a place of worship. An awesome experience!
