The best way to describe this eight track 30 minute’s worth of music from eight piece Canadian combo Critical Mass is eclectic!  You get pretty decent dance/pop on “Kephas” and a bit of plodding rock on the opening cut “Wisdom” and “I’ll be Fine” whilst “Save Me” starts as a bit of acoustic pop sitting pretty on a nice percussive groove until the girl vocals come in.  Oh dear!  Elsewhere there’s a tendency to wander off into pretty dirgy folksy stuff so “Body And Blood” and “Eyes Of Love” sadly sound dated and could both have been recorded in 1970.  Closing the album, the instrumental version of “Body And Blood” actually works better without the vocal track!  One of the bright spots is the harmonies and arrangement of “In The Meantime” which display a lightness which is missing on a lot of this material.
