An album, originally released in 2007 but only now coming to Cross Rhythms' attention. Here we have a Bradford youth choir from a branch of the Salvation Army with an invigorating urban gospel approach. Included in the set is "Shackles" as made famous by Mary, Mary, though predictably the version here isn't up to the original. More impressive is a powerful ballad version of Cyndi Lauper's classic "True Colours". Even Carol King's "You've Got A Friend" gets the urban gospel treatment with a middle eight rap thrown in just for good measure. Originally designed as a project to help communicate the Gospel to young people this rather overlooked item definitely has its moments.

This is a fantastic album for young people by young people
which communicates God's love to them in a relevant way. An
album like this is rare to come by! Definitely worth a
listen.
