You could say the good Lord has his loving hand firmly upon this band. A rather watery intervention dampened their original attempt to record this album in a Christian studio in Bolton. However, the main producer provided an 8-track Tascan board and 'Blank And White' was re-recorded. Now the album is available free or for whatever people can afford. So far so good, but what about the record itself? Well, to be fair, this really isn't my cup of tea. Yet, I'm sure someone will derive inspiration from this rather musically pedantic album. Lead singer and writer Frank Tallerine is the driving force behind Black And White. Together with fellow band member Larry Campanello, Frank is a native Texan who now leads a church here in the Midlands area. Shades of Don Francisco permeate some of the tracks, but lack the great man's richness and power. The title track does offer a melody that touches the heart, but little else remains in the memory. But don't let me put you off sampling this album, particularly when the band are willing to supply it free of charge to support the gospel!
