A Grammy Award Winning Album!! The 6 minute masterpiece The
Church Triumphant hi-lights this top, classic gospel album
of the early 70's; Heaven-sent!!
Another top fave is the 5 minute "GOD Gave the Song"; great
tenor vocals by the late Danny Gaither. This song and the
afore mentioned were both rerecorded for the 1978 "The Very
Best of the Very Best" album: with added new member Gary
McSpadden. Gloria did the original recitation on this lp;
Bill gave recitation for the 1978 rerecording:a whole new
recording actually with more than 1 1/2 extra minutes;
both are commendable! The album title track is such a great
new worship song, that so many churches have no doubt sung
in their congregation: thank you Bill & Gloria. Another
popular praise song ends the songset "I Came to Praise the
LORD". There is a most beautiful poem on back of the album.
This year marks 10 years of the loss of Danny Gaither; we
are still blessed to hear him sing! He is, no doubt in that
Heavenly choir. This album is
definitely in the top hall of gospel/ccm history.
