Joni Eareckson Tada sings Oscar nominated song
A SONG performed by quadraplegic author Joni Eareckson Tada, who in the '80s recorded several albums for Word Records, has received an Oscar nomination for Best Original Song. Joni's rendition of "Alone Yet Not Alone" is used in the feature film of the same name. "Alone Yet Not Alone" was composed by Bruce Broughton with lyrics by Dennis Spiegel. The film tells the true story of Barbara and Regina Leininger and their journey of faith and survival during the French and Indian war in 1755. Captured by the Delaware Indians in a raid on their home and transported over 300 miles of wilderness to Ohio, the sisters are sustained only by their abiding trust in God and their hope of escape against all odds to be reunited with their family.
