What a surprise! One glance at the front cover pic would have one believe Whisperloud to be a teen pop version of Point Of Grace, all vacuous harmonies and girl band cliches. But in fact this album is so funky that several of the cuts would appeal to lovers of "Shackles (Praise You)" and though Tessa Gasklll (16), Keri Blumer (16) and Alana Carris (17) aren't quite up there with the best R&B divas, their sassy harmonies and excellent leads coupled to producer Mark Hammond's masterly way with programmed grooves make this an exceptionally strong pop R&B gospel hit. The auditioning team at Cross Rhythms radio have already pinpointed several tracks as potential turntable hits so no doubt you will be hearing this on the radio for many months to come. An exceptional debut.
