Of all the thousands of books published down the years about pop and rock icons, few indeed can match the appearance of this handsome tome authorized by the band themselves. A coffee table volume packed full of magnificent photography and excellent design this covers all the usual ground about Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr's rise to mega stardom with plenty of insightful quotes from the band members but really it's the dazzling array of pics which make this indispensable for the U2 fanatic. When originally published in 2006 this would set you back a hefty £30 but I picked up a copy in a remainders shop for a fiver.
