As all followers of the modern worship explosion will know, Planetshakers, the Melbourne-based worship aggregation, have played their part in popularising rock guitar-driven anthems as a premier means of celebrating God's presence and goodness. 'Outback Worship Sessions' kicks off with "Like A Fire", a medium- tempoed track, then slows down for several songs the best of which is "My Soul Longs For Jesus" with lyrics from producer Ed Cash ("Where his mercies greet me like a song in the night") delivered full of emotion. The last two tracks on the album "This Is The Day" and "This Is Our Time" are perfectly placed together. The latter features a strong and powerful voice expressing love for the Lord ("From the start here we are to collide with your love/
Every heart set apart just to be where you are"). Overall the album is inspirational and uplifting with some great new worship songs. And although not everyone will agree, we can't have enough of those.
