No Lost Cause, or NLC as they seem to prefer, make no bones about their faith or telling the world about Christ with a passion. Their latest album has upped the arrangements, production values, musicianship and vocals to match this passion. The styles change quickly, from the opening two tone ska romp "Your Days Are Numbered" - think of the Specials without the brass section and with overdriven guitars - to the pop-punk "So Amazing", but the energy never drops. The quirky "TRP" would not sound out of place on an OC Supertones album and is a cleverly written tribute to fellow bands on the Thumper Punk Records label and their desire to shout out about Christ. The title track is into heavy metal territory with growled/screamed vocals and a full tilt drum line. The album finished with more two tone in the form of "Mainstream" but not before the albums "rickroll" happens, hidden by the title "NGGYU", a pretty heavy version of Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up" that fits with the style and takes on a whole new meaning when listened to in this context. A very good ska/punk outing with plenty of passion and energy as befitting this genre.
