Jeremy Riddle was starting to make it big in a mainstream band when he felt God's call into more worship-oriented music and was soon leading worship at Anaheim Vineyard. This set of 12 new songs comes out of that experience and the title track, according to the artist, describes his own personal battle to keep his eyes fixed on God and his heart rooted deep in him. The songs bear the unmistakeable stamp of the Vineyard stable, with excellent guitar-based melodies and expertly produced arrangements forming the background for Riddle's articulate lyrics which draw you as the listener into his own personal spiritual space and then out again into full-blown worship of an awesome God. The album's opener, "God Of All Glory" really sets the scene for that and there are 11 more eminently listenable tracks here, all penned by Riddle himself ("Close" is co-written with producer Bob Hartry). The instrumentation is impressive and the singer's voice lends an air of real emotion to the set. Apart from the title track, "More Than A Friend" and Riddle's take on William Cowper's "God Moves In A Mysterious Way" particularly stand out. An exceptional worship project.
