With renowned R&B/gospel producer Warryn "Baby Dubb" Campbell mostly at the helm you would expect a stonking CD from Mr Champion. You don't exactly get that, but what you do get from the Cleveland, Ohio based warbler's first outing with EMI is still pretty good. Opening the set we are presented with the very catchy song "Always" with big chunks of phat bass a la Earth, Wind And Fire which deals with the failures that we sometimes face as Christians. Champion continues to describe his life as a Christian on the track "The Life" with its staccato piano chorded intro reminiscent of Elton John. Married life and its ups and downs are tackled on the duet "For Better Or Worse". On the whole not a bad effort to kick start his EMI recording career though there doesn't appear to be a smash hit song here.
