Okay, so this album is now a year old but this band is just one of many criminally overlooked Christian acts from Europe. Hailing from Finland, this impressive foursome has successfully combined powerful emotion and sheer brutality to create a melodic death metal masterpiece that every self-respecting metal lover should own. On this, their first full length album having previously released two EPs, they maintain a sound that can be compared to the secular acts In Flames and Dark Tranquility, which is perfectly alright with me. The shirll vocals blend wonderfully with the high speed and incredibly technical guitar riffs and the drumming is relentless throughout, providing the listener with pure satisfaction. "Winterheart" is the finest example of the aggression on show here. However, it's on the slower and more melodic tracks where they really shine. "Blue Flamed Fire" and "Love Demise" are absolutely flawless. The lyrics to the album have a very wintry theme throughout combining wonderful imagery with thoughtful Christian lyrics and their faith can never be questioned. "The Cleansing" is the best track to sum this up and is something every Christian can relate to. The only negative point of this album is that it ends. If you are a fan of heavy music then you need this album. This could well be the band that reaches the secular crowd.
