Playdough, Tony Gib and Blake Knight, with contributions from Roy Mitchell, make up this rapidly-becoming-popular group. With previous appearances on DJ Maj and Uprok compilations, these chaps keep rolling off superb lyrics, infused with the best of beats and warmest of sounds. The tunes are so catchy, it's ridiculous. Right from the amusing opening "Everybody Up" to the politically charged title track through to the darker tones of "Trendsetter", this album just keeps getting better. Each track is a gem. And even better the message is clear, relevant and accessible to the listener. I'm probably preaching to the converted about this group, but if you've yet to discover Ill Harmonics - then you cannot go wrong by picking up this well-crafted release.
