LCGC organise new world record for mass gospel sing
THE ATTEMPT to establish a new world record for the largest gospel choir mass sing has been successful. The birthday concert, organised by the London Community Gospel Choir and held at London's Royal Festival Hall on 5th May, was the location for the attempt. Read a press release, "The adjudication team from Guinness World Records watched vigilantly as nearly 1200 people sang along including soul legend Jocelyn Brown and X Factor's Jahmene Douglas. Lead GWR official Marco Frigatti came on stage to inform the excited concert crowd that 30 plus members of the audience had to be discounted as they were filming on the their phones instead of singing or just dancing and not singing. The current record was 1138 voices and he was delighted to announce there was a new world record and LCGC and the joining choirs had broken the record with 1169 voices. History has been made and what a way for LCGC to celebrate their 30th year anniversary."
