Crimson River, Ken Turner, Hemphills to play Scottish festival
THE FIRST UK event ever to concentrate on country gospel and Southern gospel was held in Scotland from 30th April to 2nd June. The National Gospel Music Convention took place at the Leisure Centre, South Links, Fraserburgh and featured American acts George Hamilton IV, the Hemphills, Mark Lanier, Calvin Newton, Ken Turner, Wally Nelms and Tim & Mary Alice Lovelace. Also on the bill were from Ireland the Kingdom Heirs, the Zionaires, Crimson River and Paul & Sharon Gardner; from England Paul Wheater and from Scotland Crystal Clear.
