Adult-focused modern worship album for Yancy
POPULAR children's ministry specialist Yancy takes what she describes as "a musical detour" with an adult-focused modern worship album. 'Roots For The Journey' features unplugged and organic worship music and is a followup to her pre-teen CD/DVD 'Jesus Music Box' released last month. Included on 'Roots For The Journey' is Yancy's version of her composition "I Don't Want To Go" which was a number one hit for Avalon. Produced by Stephen Leiweke (Sara Groves, Jars Of Clay), the new album features an all-star list of players including Chris Donohue (Emmylou Harris, Bart Millard) on bass, Matt Stanfield (Kutless, Norah Jones) on keys, drummer Ken Lewis (The Civil Wars, Amy Grant) and cello contributions from Sixpence None The Richer's Matt Slocum.
