Singer/songwriter and evangelist Dale Evans dies aged 88
Actress, evangelist, author, songwriter and singer Dale Evans died on February 7th aged 88. Long partnered with her actor/singer husband Roy Rogers (they were married for 50 years before Roy's death in 1998), Roy and Dale starred in 35 western movies together. Dale's albums "Get To Know The Lord', 'It's Real", 'Faith, Hope And Charity', 'Heart Of The Country' and 'In The Sweet Bye And Bye' were all released by Word Records. The couple were the only show business couple to receive a national citation from the American Legion and Dale was named Woman Of The World by International Orphans Inc and Church Woman Of The Year by Religious Heritage Of America. Roy and Dale had nine children and 16 grandchildren.
