Soundtrack album for Robert Duvall's new movie The Apostle released
THE SOUNDTRACK of Robert Duvall's new movie The Apostle, featuring an all-star cast of Christian and country artists, has been released as an album. The film is about a Holiness preacher who allows God to use him despite his shortcomings and temper, which resulted in a sin against God and the law. Duvall produced the film with his own money since he could get no major studio to back the film. Previously Duvall played a person coming to Christ and putting his life back together in the film Tender Mercies.
The album was released by Sparrow to the Christian market in February. It features Steven Curtis Chapman, Sounds Of Blackness, the Gaither Vocal Band, Lari White, Gary Chapman. Dino and others including Johnny Cash and The Carter Family. It has been getting much recognition with Steven Curtis Chapman's release of "I Will Not Go Quietly" to radio and video outlets across the States.
Also, you can hear Jars Of Clay's "Flood" playing during the closing credits of the new Christian Slater film. Hard Rain and Christafari's song "Valley Of Decision" on the soundtrack for Naturally Native. In addition, the wife of the song's co-producer and writer Johnny Guerrero, Kimberly Norris Guerrero stars in the film. And the new group that Johnny is now involved in. Temple Yard, which was the core band of Christafari before the group divided, is currently in the studio, working on their inaugural project
