R&B, dance and gospel diva Candi Staton to tour UK in June

THE VETERAN singer who down the decades has moved in and out of gospel, dance and R&B, Candi Staton, is celebrating the 40th anniversary of her biggest USA "Young Hearts Run Free" with a tour of the United Kingdom. After two dates in Ireland, Candi will be performing in Brighton (10th June), Cardiff (11th), London (15th), Newcastle upon Tyne (17th) and Manchester (18th). Said Staton, "This tour will be a lot of fun. I'll be singing songs from throughout my career but I'm going to add some songs from the 'Young Hearts Run Free' LP which I haven't performed in concert since the 1970s." Candi is as busy as ever. She is releasing her 13th gospel album 'It's Time To Be Free' on 22nd July and her autobiography Young Hearts Run Free will be published by Heritage Builders on 13th December.
